commissioned work, april 2013
April saw me completing two commissioned mixed media artworks for the lovely Melbourne dweller Mrs Harrison. Mrs Harrison had seen the Birds of Tokyo work online and had contacted me in the hopes of commissioning two similar works for her home.
This was a particularly special project for me as it was my first real commission and it was also the opportunity to use my grandfather’s paints, which are about 35-40 years old.
Rufus Morris was a professional artist, using both oils and watercolours. I was lucky enough to grow up with his beautiful artworks lining the walls of our family home.
I am so happy with how the artworks turned out, and am even happierhat Mrs Harrison loves them too.
